Summer is a season of holidays and vacations. Most people choose to enjoy a few days at the mountains or the beach, after a year of hard work and studying. Unfortunately, not everyone has the opportunity and financial resources for such trips. Many children from poor families spend their summer holidays in their native villages. While other children have more possibilities, their summer fun comes from swimming, and spraying each other with water from the lake. They ride bikes that were borrowed from a neighbor or they play the game catch up or hide and seek with children from the same slum from morning until dusk.
Everyone is shaped and molded by their childhood experiences. A child’s personality is broadened and developed by getting acquainted with new places and people. That’s why this summer ORA International Moldova organized a trip to Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, for the children from the day care center “Walkerhaus” Chiperceni village, Orhei. The program included a visit to the zoo, where the children saw many animals, exotic birds and wild animals. For lunch, they had pizza and soda at a pizzeria, and at the end of the trip, they enjoyed their first visit to the International Airport in Chisinau.
ORA International Moldova plans to organize more trips for all sponsored children from the day care centers. Every child is important to us and we want to invest as much as we can in their development and education.
